Velvet Rail's happy hour is at 505 Main Street in Downtown Houston. On Friday and Saturday, cocktails are $3 and hookah is $15 from 7 to 9 PM, with premium pours at $5 from 9 to 11 PM. On Thursday and Sunday, select cocktails are $3 from 7 to 9 PM.
It's the quiet start to the night: midnight-blue chesterfields, red velvet chairs, candle-lit marble tables and the illuminated bar, before the DJs and live music take the room past midnight.
Tables and sections for happy hour can be reserved online. Walk-ins are welcome as space allows.

Happy hour runs straight into the night's programming: Vibes Don't Lie on Thursday, Nostalgia Fridays, Saturday Night Live and Sunday Sessions, with resident DJs and live music.
